AI transparency
In keeping with our personal policy on creativity and appreciation of the human nature of creative and artistic work, we consider it appropriate to report transparently on the use of emerging artificial intelligence applications, as well as the rejection of others.
Use of artificial intelligence applications
Dreams Factory, Digital Art has employed or employs artificial intelligence in the following cases.
- Automated spell-checking tools – proofreaders in text editors – using offline tools on the computer itself.
- Translators of text with an origin other than Spanish, using contrasted platforms and preferably institutional or governmental tools.
- Selection, silhouetting and photo correction/repair tools, using local Machine Learning models, installed on the equipment itself and totally offline.
Position on the use of other forms of artificial intelligence
The use of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) is rejected regardless of whether or not the data has the authorisation of the authors and respect for their rights, whether this data is in the form of text, image or any other audiovisual support, except if this data is provided by the client under their responsibility and justifying its use and legal authorisation.
GAI images are not used in any case. In the case of translation from or into English, any occasional translation service will be for internal use, in order to verify the previous human translation in case of doubts. For the rest of the languages, it will only be used for the comprehension of texts in languages other than Spanish and English. For the publication of texts in languages other than Spanish, professional translation services will be provided by the client.
It is always to remember that every GAI makes mistakes and perpetuates biases. In cases where this type of tool is used – for example, spelling correction or editing of text content – verifying the data produced, as well as avoiding perpetuating bias, is considered a priority.
No results generated by GAI will be found in the final product except in very well justified cases and with the express indication of the client in which there is no other possible way..
In the case of images from stock photo services generated by IAG, they will be excluded from all projects. Stock images will be used as long as the original author is a human artist or professional. In case of doubt or if it is impossible to identify the author, the use of the image or, if applicable, the image provider will be entirely disregarded.
